Arriving by plane

Once at the airport, one can take a taxi to Bled (approximate cost 4200 SIT). A cheaper and still very convenient way is to take a taxi to the bus station in Kranj. There are buses leaving for Bled approximately once every hour. Arriving to the Bled bus station, Park Hotel is within walking distance (250 m): take the road downhill towards the lake and walk until reaching the hotel.

We shall also try to arrange a pick-up at the airport to collect those participants that will arrive on Sunday with the 18:35 plane from Frankfurt and with the 18:25 plane from London.

Other closest airports are: Munich, Klagenfurt, Graz, Vienna, Trieste, Venice. From each of them you can take a train to Bled.

Arriving by train

If coming by train, you should get off at the station called Lesce-Bled. This station is about 5 km from the Bled centre. There you can take a taxi or a bus (leaving every 30 minutes). Arriving to the Bled bus station, Park Hotel is within walking distance (250 m): take the road downhill towards the lake and walk until reaching the hotel.

Bled can be reached by train from two different directions:

From Villach (Austria). Trains from Germany or Austria use this way. The first station after the border is Jesenice and shortly afterwards the next stop is Lesce-Bled. Some trains do not stop at Lesce-Bled. In such a case get off in Jesenice and wait for a local train. We expect that most of participants will use the train "Mimara" with departure from Munich at 13:25 and arrival to Lesce-Bled at 18:56. We will try to arrange a pick-up for them. Another international train leaves Munich at 15:25. Changing in Villach you arrive to Lesce-Bled at 20:57.
From Ljubljana. Main trains from Ljubljana with stop in Lesce-Bled use the following timetable:

The direction from Ljubljana should be used, for example, if coming from Italy. The trains from Trieste to Ljubljana are: 9.13-12.15, 12.02-14.50, 17.57-20.47. There are also connection from Vienna to Ljubljana: 8.22-14.20, 16.22-22.20. Coming through Vienna, you can also try to reach Bled through Villach.

If you cannot get a convenient train connection from Ljubljana to Bled, you can take a bus (leaving approximately every hour) to Bled. The bus station is just outside the train station. The approximate cost of the bus Ljubljana-Bled is 600 SIT.
